Track the fields that help you make a decision.
At minimum, keep product/brand, solution type or depth, bottle size, purchase cost, amount remaining and reorder threshold. Add lot or expiration information when it matters for how you operate.
Inventory tracking only needs to answer a few business questions well: what do I have, how fast am I using it, what does each tan cost and what will I run out of next?

At minimum, keep product/brand, solution type or depth, bottle size, purchase cost, amount remaining and reorder threshold. Add lot or expiration information when it matters for how you operate.
You do not need lab-level precision. A consistent average ounces-per-service estimate lets you turn remaining volume into an approximate number of tans left, which is much more actionable than ‘the bottle looks low.’
Divide the bottle cost by the estimated number of services it produces, then add disposables and other variable product cost if you want a fuller picture. This helps you compare solutions and price the service with context.
Your reorder threshold should account for how many appointments are coming up and how long replacement stock takes to arrive. Running out is more expensive than carrying a small, intentional buffer.
Tan Concierge can track the back bar, estimated usage and reorder signals alongside the client and financial parts of the business.
