Follow-up guide

How often should you follow up with a spray tan client?

There is no single perfect number of messages. The better question is whether each message arrives at a moment when it is genuinely useful.

01

Before the appointment: send only what helps her arrive ready.

Use booking confirmation from your scheduler, then a concise prep reminder or intake request at a time when the client can still act on it. Avoid sending the same instructions three different ways just because three automations exist.

02

After the appointment: prioritize rinse and aftercare timing.

Send the information that is time-sensitive first. Longer-term care can follow later if it adds value. The exact timing should match the solution, service workflow and instructions you actually give clients.

03

A few days later: ask for feedback before assuming everything was perfect.

A brief check-in can capture useful result feedback and create a natural moment for a review request when the client is happy. If there is a concern, address that before pushing for a public review.

04

For rebooking: use behavior, not a universal blast schedule.

Base the nudge on the client's typical cadence, upcoming events or how long it has been since her last visit. A useful rebooking message should feel timely, not like a weekly sales campaign.
